I just bought a Beetle Cat, Just because I always wanted one. It's a true Beetle (wood) So it's not really a trailer sailor because it should be left in the water. I have a mooring at the local lake. Just curious if anyone has done any camp cruising in one. Yes I know it's small. I'm thinking Little Narraganset Bay , Mystic harbor, Noank. CT. Staying close to shore.

I don't know I think if you owned a Mac and a CDL you could perceive yourself as a trailer sailor even if you owned a 40 foot Hunter, but that's just me.

I'll splash her every spring , let her sink/swell up , pump her out and she'll be good for the season. Picked her up in New Bedford last week. I still have to do some little things. Hardware and some small repairs. I live in NJ but I like to day sail around Mystic CT. I actually own a small boat repair shop in northwest New Jersey.
