I have successfully bedded my stanchion bases, bow pulpit and stern pulpit with your butyl tape. Is there any reason that I should not re-bed my teak handrails to the cabin top with the butyl tape? Thanks

I've done it and it works well. You do need to be aware that with screws you will be twisting the butyl cone into the hole. By making the "cone" longer you can bed screws. You still need to countersink and tighten SLOWLY over multiple small events but it can be done.

I am also assuming you will "bung" these when done..?

On the Nonsuch the hand rails are secured through the cabin roof from below. Would this make any difference? Thanks...
