Does anyone on here sail on Beaver Lake in Northwest Arkansas?

I have just started sailing and I'm curious where the best sailing is.

Yes, there is a sailing club about mid-lake on the north side: http://beaverlakesailclub.com/ . I drove there once to see a member who owns a Hunter and is on this SBO site from time to time. I also took my daughter's ski boat from the west end marina(cannot remember the name) to watch one of their regattas.

I have boated and skiied there and can tell you that the winds are very flukey. Most of the lake is very narrow which makes for a lot of tacking/jibeing. Where my kids kept their ski boat there were only two or three masts. Probably two hundred power boats. It is a beautiful lake though.

So Andy, you are still there and driving down from Missouri? And still sailing the H340? I neglected to mention that the regatta that you were in had great wind and good sailing. You are in one of the wider sections of the lake as I recall. The kids moved back to Ohio so I have not been to Beaver Lake since 2004 I think.

Still doing shuttle therapy! We are going to change up our regatta this coming year. Come on down if you get the chance.
