This shows what we did to adapt it. We removed the legs and rilled through the cast aluminum side covers for two s/s pan-head machine screws (1/4) and put them through 3/4 inch aluminum spacers to a 3/4 square aluminum tube section. It worked well. FYI, the mounting distance between the rails is 18". Hope this is reasonably clear. I also made up a web strap with a clip to put around it so the lid will not open in a high wind. It may not have been necessary. Your time may be worth a whole lot more than mine, so it isn't a project I'd recommend for everyone, but it worked for us. Rick D.
