I am a new owner of a '93 Macgregor 26s. I have heard you can mount a BBQ to the stern rail some how. How do you do this and what type BBQ unit will work? Or is there a better, easier way to do BBQ on the boat?!
There are a couple of manufacturers of BBQ's for boats. All of them can be mounted on a stern rail and in some cases a body mount where a hole needs to be drilled. The common thread is always mount your BBQ over the side for safety. THe propane models with the new heat shields and no briquettes work extremely well and are quite safe. You'll find a rail bracket comes with the BarB so clamp it tight. I will warn you to make up a small metal wire tether for the mixer valve. I have lost more than one to the mermaids at our lake.Look on the web and also West Marine.Magma comes to mind as a brand name.Steve P.
