A friend of mine just transported his boat from Deltaville, where he was getting work done on it, back to Colonial Beach. The wind was 20-25 out of the North to North West for both days of the trip and the wind chill put the temp in the upper 20's. That doesn't sound like fun to me (he doesn't have a dodger too so he was getting soaked from the waves and spray).
I have once thought about trying to do some winter cruising around here since the river rarely freezes. I figure wearing warm layers of clothing, drinking hot liquids, and having some form of Cabin heater might work. It was then that I realized that most of the time, in my area, there is either no wind or too much wind this time of year.
Spring is only 5 months away! Ugh

Ross....I have some canvas work to do. I am doing it in small parts as I have moved into a small apartment.

If the hobby isn't fun, it is work. And any good hobby is more fun than winter sailing on the Bay.
