bayfield 29

I'm retiring next year and considering living aboard; cruising north/south on the ICW; Great Lakes in summer, south in winter, maybe even some blue water but not too far,(Bahamas.) Does anyone have any experience or opinions about what boat to choose? I'm alone, sigle-handing. I would like to stay under 30 feet; inboard diesel, wheel, full keel, roomy head. I'm considering a Bayfield 29. Any thoughts on the B29?

Not bad

I took a weekend trip on a Bayfield 30, which I think is actually a 29. it was not a bad boat and they have a reputation for being well built.

another boat I would consider for your plans is an Endeavor 32. A little more interior room, well built, and a good sailing boat that is fine for limited offshore use according to Practical Sailor.
