Bavaria 47 Review

Hi

I am looking for feedback on any owner of a Bavaria 47. I have searched the web and there seems to be very little detail on this model other than the original sale brochure. I am in the process of purchasing a 2009 Bavaria 47 and would greatly recieve any owners view on the vessel, how she sails, what she is like in a blow, what she is like in a marina etc etc.

There is one in our marina. Its a nice looking boat. I'm always surprised to see that big (140%) genoa on a modern 50 footer. Its a HUGE sail. Most 50s these days have a non-overlapping 105% headsail and a big roachy main; its a much easier sailplan to deal with.

No idea how it is to dock, but fin keel, spade rudder & saildrive, should be easy.
