Hi I have a Bav 36 with a Simpson Lawrence Horizon 900 windlass. It keep stripping the pinch nut and main drive shaft threads. I have a 35lb plough anchor and 55 m of 8mm chain rode. Is anyone else having the same problem ?? Did you change your windlass to a larger capacity and which one did you choose. Seems that the windlass is low spec for the boat. please let me know if you have any expereince in this.
