I cannot seem to figure out what is wrong with the battery. The battery is fully charged, and nothing is working. Could all the fuses be blown? What should I be looking for and how do I fix this?

Gary: You didn't mention what model catalina you have but I had the same problem last year on my 1973 C22. In my case the problem was a broken solder joint between the positive wire from the battery and the buss bar that feeds power to all the fuses on the back side of power pannel. Another likely cause could be a broken or coroded cable assembly between the battery and the panel or grounding junction. The easy way to check for these problems is to first visually inspect the cables or wires, if they look OK make sure they are hooked up and any battery switches are turned on than check for power at the fuse holders. Use a 12 volt test light (available at any automotive store fot around $5.00) or a multimeter, remove the fuses, hook the ground lead of the tester to the negative battery terminal and touch the other lead to the contacts inside of each fuse holder to check for power. If no power is detected at any of the fuse holders you will need to carefully check the rear of the panel for coroded or broken connections. On some models you will need to remove the panel to do this. On older C22's like mine you can access the back of the panel under the rear dinette seat. If you have any further questions or you still can't find the problem E-mail me. Barry Broyles LTBROYT6D@cs.com
