Thinking of placing 2 AGM batteries forward and removing the factory aft wet cell, for both weight distribution and the extra space available in the V-berth (Catalina 250.) Running the 40 or so feet round trip with #1 battery cable should not be a problem, according to the charts, but how to hook up the outboard (Honda 9.9 with 12 amp alternator? I could use a screw connector to hook up the new cables and outboard wiring to the existing buss bars. Anyone see problems here? Any better ideas?
