Battery locations?

I found the battery (yea).
It's in the locker across from the fuel locker.
I think that's a bad place for it.
It's a lot of weight way aft and on the same side as the motor.
And it takes the one deep locker out of service.

So who has a better suggestion?

The MK1 house battery was placed just behind the cooler, under the cockpit. Access and proximity to the electrical panel.

I replaced my cooler with 4 GC2 batteries (260 lbs) for the electric outboard. Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide (LiNiMnCoO2 or NMC) batteries would be about a 60 lbs for the same "useable" energy (the technology can take repeated full discharges unlike Lead Acid technology).

I did move the house battery to the front storage area. I had to fabricate a new mounting for the battery but it did help distribute the weight better.
