I am curious and maybe everyone knows for sure, but when on dock power and engine power, am I charging the battery indicated? For example, when "both" is selected, are both batteries charging? I was sailing, battery one was selected and my instruments failed...just before they went "black", I got a low battery warning on my autohelm. But, my engine cranked. So presumably, battery 2 is my engine start power. This is an older boat, maybe rewired, but new to me.
Oh, I checked the batteries this weekend after selecting both and they checked good...14 volts...after being on shore power.
