I just bought a new Interstate SRM27B and am interested in getting a decent charger for our 25.5. I would like to leave the battery and charger in the boat during the season. I would consider either a permanent mount charger or a portable that I could take home with the battery in the off-season. I will have 120AC available on the boat. Any recommendatons? Thanks in advance.

Get a trickle charger

If you get a charger that puts out less than 0.5 amp you can leave it on all the time without damaging your battery. Also if your battery is low on sunday when you leave the boat it should be topped off again by Friday night.

Check out the Statpower 10.

Statpower makes great units. They have a 10, 20 & 40 amp model. The 10 should do you just fine.
