Battery Charger help

Need some advise on choosing a new battery charger. I want to be able to charge both Gel batteries as well as Lead Acid using the same charger. I have heard that Guest makes a line of chargers that will allow you to do this. I realize that Gels should be charged at a different voltage than typical Lead Acid. My boat currently has Gel Batteries, and are over 7 years old. A few folks suggested getting on a cycle of changing batteries, but not changing both at the same time. I guess the logic is that they both will fail at the same time. I plan on adding a dedicated starting battery some time during the year, therefore I would want a charger for 3 banks of batteries. Does anybody else mix batteries? My present charger is an old Ray Jefferson model 330, I have heard this has a reputation as being a "battery frier". The only suprise so far is that according to the PO the current batteries have lasted this long (seven years) with a charger not designed for Gel Batteries.
