Battery Cable Size

Does anyone know the AWG size of battery cables used on a Beneteau 361? I need to order some parts and hate to drive 4 hours round-trip just to check this.

Depends on the length of the run

Randall, the length of the run is going to determine the size of the cable you are going to need to run. First, you want to size to have a no more than a 3% voltage drop over the length of the cable. So with that in mind here are the recommended size Up to 3 1/2' 4 AWG 3 1/2-6' 2 AWG 6- 7 1/2 1 AWG 7 1/2 - 9 1/2 0 AWG 9 1/2 - 12 00 AWG 12 - 15' 000 AWG 15 - 19 0000 AWG If you have any more questions please feel free to e - mail me.
