I am looking for advice regarding leaving batteries in boat during winter storage in Boston area. These are 12v wet cell batteries and will be maintained via trickle charge from solar panels. Boat will be on the hard and I would check on them periodically. Is this a bad idea? Alternative is to do what I've done in prior years; take'm home to basement and put a charger on them every other month. thank you, bob Pilgrim ps: update on hole in hull on 336. Does look like hole was made by screw that holds teak to cabin pan. Have any other 336 owners checked to see if they might have potential problem? Tip of 1.5 inch screw coming close to inside hull suface.

Batteries...

If the batteries are charged, they won't freeze or be damaged as long as it doesn't get too cold. I left mine onboard last year in a Michigan winter, but gave them a full charge at least once a month. Steve
