Where do I get battens for the original main of a 1977 Hunter 25 (Cherubini)? Are they sail specific of can I get "generic" battens and cut to size? How do I install them and can I do it myself? What materials do you use? Any advise would be much appreciated! Cheers!

Any sailmaker will cut some for you. Some marine supply stores carry the stock and you cut to fit.

I know WM carries battens. They might not have the size you want in stock but they can order them. Be sure to get the right width, and then you can order a big ol' piece of batten and cut it up into the right size. WM does sell by the foot, in whole foot increments.
