I was hoping that someone would have the measurements (including thickness) for the Hunter 240 Battens. I have read all the posts about securing them in place and will try out a couple when I can replace the ones recently lost. Thanks

Buy the 5/16 inch wide batten mateial

You can order batten material in a 12 foot length and cut it to size. When you do, round off the edges. Check with the HOW chandlrey if they can get you a 12 foot section. If not, let me know and I will direct you in the right direction. Crazy Dave Codnon

Any luck with batten specs.?

R. Thompson, Did you ever find out what the specifications were for the battens on your H240? I lost my top 2 during a race recently - the topping line snagged the velcro straps and they popped out. So, I too am looking for the length measurments. Any help would be appreciated. Charlie "Good Medicine"

Batten info for 260...

You'll need 5/8, non-tapered stock. Can order it from: Doyle Sails, Marblehead, MA (781) 639-8086 scott_loomis@doylesails.com Or from West Marine, part number is 414136. Lengths used on 260 (from previous HOW post by Bob Metz on 08/22): (2) 30 3/8" (1) 39 5/8" (1) 68" I had this problem once before, and I ordered stock a little long and cut it to size with a hack saw. Fair winds, Tom
