Ok, so I took my main sail down for the Winter. When I did I realized I lost a batten. If I'd been real smart I'd measured the pocket but since I didn't and the main sail is at one place and the battens are in another does anyone know the sizes of the bateens for an H26 sail???? Thanks Paul h S/V Linda Belle 95 H26

The Loft Knows

If you call a local loft of the sail manufacturer they will have a record and can make you one. Or at least North did when I lost one. This assumes that you know the manufacturer of course.

I've lost a few battens before finally sewing them into place. As I recall, WM sells battens of different lengths and you just cut and file the ends smooth to fit. They also sell caps for the ends.

better and cheaper

I go to home depot and buy M.D.F. ( about 8 dollars for a 4x8 sheet) and cut to size. For $8.00 I got 3 new battens for the main, a new shelf organizer for the cabin, and still have 1/2 the sheet left. The stuff is manufactured wood (plastic based) and never warps, sags, absorbs water ect. Love it. Pray for Wind, Lugeman
