Battans are not staying in place

The Velcroe that holds that Battans in place does not seem to stick very good. As a result I have lost Battans. Does Doyle have a solution for this problem? The sail is brand new.

I don't know what Doyle does, but I drill a small

1/8 inch hole in the batten end and loop a small (but very strong)nylon line thru the batten and then tie the line to the velcro strap and strap cover. You can then sail tape over the velcro strap but I found that just messy overkill when it is time to remove the batten. End of batten loss. I also carry a 10 foot spare batten from West Marine. 5/8 inch batten stock is part# 414136. Ray S/V Speedy

Losing battens

I used shoegoo to glue my batten tabs down. Seems to work good and if I do need to open them up I can.
