I'd appreciate any help with thisone. I just discovered a large colony of bats had moved into my mainsail, under the sail cover, over the past couple of weeks. Bats are gone now and the sail is drying in the back yard but it still looks pretty nasty. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me get this sail cleaned up?

I'd suggest some Guano Remover !!!

Scott: Just kidding. There have been several posts about cleaning sails and spot removal. If you check in the archives you should be able to find some references. I did some research on this issue and posted this several months ago. http://archive.sailboatowners.com/archive/archivepview.tpl?sku=2002072104547.51&forumabr=as&fno=122&_ptitle=ptitle%20rtitle&_pname=pname&_psamp=psamp&&model=none&forum=none&andor=wa&keyword=sail%20cleaning%20dion&pr=p&ssite=HOW&srt=pdate&start=1&max=20

Be very careful with that sh*t!!!

Lots of bats carry rabies and inhaling dried guano MAY have transmitted it. Don't believe it's been proven though. alan
