Don and others with lines aft. I've emailed the folks at Rudy's about the plate needed to go under the mast base plate (or whatever its called) to allow me to do the same. Is there a proper plate? Is it one size fits all? Will I have to drill holes in the "new" plate? I assume you have to take the hinged plate off put the "new" one on and then re-atach the hinged one. Also some type of silicon? I don't have time now to try and manufacture one where did you get yours? Thanks, Mike

Halyard Organizer Plate

Mike, I have included the link to what you want. I would give them a call and determine the exact size you will need. There seems to be a confusion at their webpage in size between their medium and large plates. My boats covered and I'm guessing from a picture I have of the plate, but I think the medium size may be a bit too small. I would ask them the size difference between the large and medium. Best to go a bit larger than have it too small and not have sufficient clearance to add your blocks. Your right about the sequence of attachment. I'm not sure if the hole to attach to mast base is predrilled. You may want to ask them that also. The block attachment holes are already drilled. Don

base plate

Thanks Don. Itried to call but no answer. Email doesn't seem to work I try and call again. I'm trying to buy everything at once and knock it out quickly. More sailing less work! I'll try and post photos. I'm using a digital camera these days and the photos seem to be hugh files! Gotta figure out how to "trim" them down. Later, Mike

Alternative...

Mike, if for some reason you can't contact anyone there??, try phoning Kim at Rigrite (see link). Although not listed in their web pages, I'm sure they either have it or can have it made for you. There is nothing in this plate that a stainless steel fabricator could not make for you. Check your local area phone book for one as a third alternative. Good luck. Don
