I recently purchased an older Precision 15K. The boat had been sitting in the water for some time and had a good amount of growth, barnacles and algae. That has been removed and I am in the process of working on the remaining barnacle rings. Once done, should I barrier coat or just leave the gel coat. The boat will always be trailered.
Barrier Coat or Not?

Just leave the Gel Coat. If you dry sail the boat you do not need a barrier coat or even bottom paint.
If ever you should apply Barrie coat, make sure the hull is completely dry or it may come off and form blisters
