Is there any recommended service (lubrication, etc.) for a ship's barometer? I have a nice (looking) one, German, but it's not working -- probably 20 years old. I've disassembled it and cleaned off some surface corrosion but it didn't help. It's attractive enough that I'd like to salvage it but not good enough to justify paying for repairs. Any suggestions?
