Barient Winch spanner wrench

Does anyone know where I can purchase a wrench to loosen the retaining ring on the top of the winch? The ring has two holes on opposite sides. The holes are about an 1/8 inch in diameter.

Hello,

You don't need a wrench. Just put two small bolts in holes, nothing special, just two bolts that fit in the holes and stick up a bit, then put a winch handle in the winch and turn it, voila, the ring will spin out.

Barry is absolutely correct, done it many times. I like to cut the threads off of a long shanked bolt if I have the time, it makes the fit a tad more snug..
