Barient winch problem, Help!!

Help! I just changed the choker line on my Nonsuch wishbone and the Barient 17 ST winch stripper is bunching up the line cover and causing it to bunch up and jam when i am cranking. Interesting enough it does not do this with the other older lines (topping lift, reefing lines and Cunningham) that I use the same winch for. I even changed the line out and got a super non stretch line and the problem continues. All help appreciated.

not enough wraps? That will burn the cover for sure.

Must be the line you bought if the old lines (and the previous choker line) didn't experience this problem. What did you purchase? Which brand?

I purchased the line from Seco South and t was Buccaneer to the best of my knowledge.

It's possible you may have purchased a cored line other than double braid. More and more I'm finding the lines I purchase are not double braid though it looks exactly the same and even the guys in the store do not realize that it is not. The casing is much looser than on double braid and could cause your problem.

This sounds like it may be the problem. I'll check it out.
