One of the Barient #17 halyard winches on the boat I bought was bad. The plastic piece that holds the upper pawls was warped - almost broken. Looked like the prior owner had left it under a heavy load for an extended time in heat. I was unable to locate the part. Tried that outfit in Australia via internet, but never got a reponse. A local machine shop was able to make it for me. He kept the computer program necessary to run his machinery- in other words, his notes/drawings. He can now recreate the part at will.
