I would guess the dismantling handle is just something to hold the drum or top cap while you unscrewed the cap screw. Are there two small holes in the top cap (part #4)?
That's pretty much our experience. Ours had small black handles, like mini-winch handles with a hole in the top. The hole allowed you to hold the winch in place when turning the Allen screw inside. Our mast mounted single speed winches didn't have a screw - instead they had a button inside the winch handle hole. You would push the button and lift the winch off.Just found out Barient supplied a plastic wrench (blue) to hold winch from turning while loosening cap screw. Will have to jury rig something. The wrench fitted in like winch handle w/a hole in the middle for the allen wrench to loosen cap screw. Thanks.
