I knew there was a lot of rotted cabin sole when I got the boat, a 1976 22 footer, and that the mast step probably leaked as well, but got it anyway. Mainly because the sails were so good. My question is: How much balsa is/was there in the boat? Any around the windows? Has anyone ever taken the whole boat apart-the deck and liner off, etc. Has anyone ever fiberglassed in the bulkhead separating the cabin from the head/v-berth area ? Also, the mast is anodized silver, the boom gold. The mast is a little longer than the boat oal. Any thoughts on the mast?
