We plan to either hit Bimini for our first stop and customs clearance, then head along the northerly route through the northwest channel to northwest light as a major waypoint along the way. Or, we might aim for South Riding Rock and sail across the Great Bahama Bank to northwest light, and then clear customs at our first stop from there. Last trip to the Bahamas, we sailed from the keys to Bimini to clear customs. On our return, we sailed down to South Riding Rock and sailed back from there. There's a good countercurrent along the islands there that helped us make some southing before we headed back into the gulf stream. There's also a ton of huge fish hanging out around Riding Rock.
