I have noticed severial people with ideas about the hunter 25.Im a power tool crazy kind of guy and I fix it all myself.I know something about how things are built and I have done lots of work on boats. The letter I read by the designers son was right. The boat is more than a day sailer-it is a very well made and sturdy little yacht.Watch the weather, keep your rigging right and your hull tight and you can go anywhere in this great boat. The capsize screen is 1.95-thats the same as boats a full ten feet longer. When sailing a hunter 1974 twenty five, limits are imposed by the sailors own skill and knowledge.I am currently installing an eletric motor to replace the outboard.Keeping the prop in the water in rough weather is a plus. There are trailers that will carry this boat. Not a light boat but it can be done. You need over six feet of water to launch it. You can always cradle it and have it set in the water. The mast can be steped with a winch from the trailer and an extention to elevate line of travel. All in all you have a boat that will go almost anywhere and can be trailered to desired launch point. Its a bad little boat.
