Bad day for Blue Angels

The day I invited my family to sail out in my 23' Southcoast sailboat and watch the Blue Angles off of Pensacola Beach all the fun began. First, the trailer lights wouldn't work, then my cherokee overheated on the way to the marina due to a cracked resevoir, some fool ran a red light and we came within inches of a collision. Now we are about 2 hours behind schedule getting to the marina. Another 30 minutes rigging the mast, launching and the outboard won't crank. Now we are about 4 hours late. Findly underway in the Gulf heading for Pensacola Beach and we see the Blues, way off, do their final barrel role and fly away home, the show is over. Now there are hundreds of power boats heading home at full speed passing me within feet. Then the real fun begins! More to come!

Missed a good show

My buddy went and said it was one of the best ever, sorry to tell you. He makes reservations a year in advance for a beachfront view. Maybe next year you could go up a day early and get all the disasters out of the way ahead of time! Berth it overnight. Come to think of it, I might try it myself. Scott S/V Hello Dolly
