How difficult is it to add a back stay adjuster? I figured since the mast is down for the winter it may be wise to look into this now. Do they come in a kit and does anyone have any resources.

I used to own a P-26 one design, and if your rig is like mine, you have a split backstay. The easiest, cheapest way I found to add an adjuster was one of those bridle types. Go to the West Marine website and search for "Johnson split backstay adjuster". Maybe Garhauer has something similar, I don't know. You need some kind of tackle to haul down the adjuster car, but it doesn't have to be fancy because there isn't very much load. To equalize the load, the tackle has to either pull straight down (motor will probably be in the way) or start at one quarter, go up thru a block on the car, and come down to the other quarter.
