Background on Continuous Running

To those who have been following my problem of continuous running on our B461: The problem was twofold. First, it was determined that the fridge thermostat pulling cold out of the freezer side was the wrong temperature range.(too cold) It was replaced. More significantly, there was too much refrigerant which means too much pressure which means too high a temperature.(CHEM 101)The technician monitored the guages he attached for the diagnosis as the box cooled and reduced refrigerant gradually. The really neat thing besides the box cycling, was that the reduced pressure also dropped the amps being pulled from the batteries by more than 1 amp! Now, the average amp draw will be about 2.5amps/hour which translates to 60 amp hours per day, easily replaced by an engine alternator while making hot water for showers. Hope this helps and of course that the problem doesn't return! PS a technician from a local marina was paid to fix this months ago and tried to tell me the box was too large for the unit. So, it does matter who does the servicing. Go directly to Adler Barbour(KENYON)
