HI THERE, I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A CAPRI 25 AND AM TRYING TO RIGIT. THERE ARE NO OTHERS AT MY MARINA. DOES ANYONE HAVE A PICTURE OF THEIR BACKSTAY SET UP. UP CLOSE SHOT. ALSO WHAT IS THE BETTER RATIO 6-1 12-1? CHEERS, CW ADIOS 2

I would go for.....

....the 12:1 and be sure to make the entire backstay out of spectra not wire. Spectra is stronger, lighter, has less stretch and is so much easier to work with.

Charles, There is an active group of Capri 25 owners on yahoo. If you join the group, you will have access to files and photos. This subject of the backstay was a recently discussed topic and there were a number of setups presented in photos and drawings including the National Championship winner Dragon Lady's set up. With the demise of the Capri 25 National Website, this is the best place for information on the Capri 25.
