Alright I just got back from Fawcetts Marine supple in Annapolis. I could live there. But my question is how do you rig the block and tackle for the back stay adjuster. Does anyone have a picture? What size blocks and cam cleat are needed. Many thanks. I am getting the itch to be on the water soon.

Here's how I did it

I bought this Lewmar set up on E-Bay cheap. They were selling it as a boom vang for a 30 foot boat. The line is 5/16th which is more than adequate. The back stay plate with the rollers can be bought from West Marine or any other marine center that sells sailboat hardware.

How did you attatch it?

Did you have to add a double block on the backstay plate? It seems I would need three double blocks. The boom vang rig would supply two?

Sorry I forgot to add the picture

Lets see if it loads the picture on this time. That should answer a lot of your questions.

My setup is similar setup except I used two small Harken triple blocks (all on same axle) instead of the two fiddles shown. The lower block also has a small cam cleat. Peter H23 "Raven"1
