My B Idylle 11.50 may be suffering from a collapsing compression post step. I recall when purchasing this boat roughly 8 years ago that there was some discussion of this issue and that Beneteau had issued a fix early after release of the model. I am not clear if this included the 85 boats.
Apologies for the poor quality pic attached. The compression post step has numerous cables running under it and into the compression post. Perhaps these holes have weakened the glass over time?
Does anybody know anything about this problem and what the recommended fix is?
