B$G Depth Transducer

On my 1994 C270. depth readout shows all dashes. no growth on transducer. Speedo , temp etc works fine. Has anyone had a similar issue?
Contacted airmax in NH but I need the code # on cable attached to transducer and they cant seem (or want) to help. Should I replace entire unit?

I would check all connections first and think you should be able to
check with a ohms meter.
