I am interested in putting in an offer on a sailboat. Can anyone direct me to the the latest 2011 Yacht Brokers Association of America "Sale & Purchase Agreement." I have found that the YBAA updates their long form contract every December. I was able to find the 2003', 2007, 2009 and 2010 versions online. But I could not find the latest 2011 updated contact. I phoned the YBAA office in Annapolis today and learned that a 2011 version is available, but...to members only. The YBAA cleans up ambiguous language and adds provisions each December in an effort to avoid future disputes that have arisen in past sale/purchase transactions. It would be great to have the benefit and protections afforded by their most up to date efforts.
