I have just purchased a 1980 Javelin. I want to add an auxillary engine to help with docking and assisting in travelling against the current in the harbor. I am looking at using a 44 lb thrust trolling motor. Can anyone tell me if this would be sufficent to counter a 3 to 4 knot current?
