Jerry,
I started out with the Autohelm 800 on my O'Day 222 and I loved it. I had it for many years until it finally malfunctioned. The factory had phased it out and no parts were available for it, so I bought the Autohelm ST 1000+ and am happy with it. I mounted it in the same place, on the top of fuel hatch cover on the Starboard side of the boat. I had installed the receptacle on the inside transom and built my own mounting bracket for it.
