I AM INSTALLING A AUTOHELM SPORT PILOT. IT IS A AUTOPILOT AND I NEED TO KNOW THE BEST PLACE TO INSTALL THE FLUXGATE COMPASS. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL PLACES AND I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE LINEARISATION. PLEASE ADVISE
I would suggest looking at the recent posts on Macgregor26x.com I just installed a sportpilot and there are about 20 posts on the subject. I installed my compass on the vertical overhead liner wall above the starboard aft bunk area. I have not operated the unit yet. Just installed it last weekend and haven't hooked up the power yet.
