Autopilot for Mac 26X

I am considering adding an autopilot to my new Mac 26X. Has anyone had any experience, good or bad, with this on a 26X?TIA.Eric

Autohelm for MG26X

Seen lots of messages on other bulletin boards that seem to indicated the Sport Pilot is the autohelm of choice for the MG26X.Everyone who has installed one is happy with the performance even though the autohelm is primarily designed for motor-sports boats

AP14R

I also plane to instal the AP14R from Simrad. I am considering installing lowering the wheel until the AP14R fits in the availanle space in the housing. I will have to switch place with the power trim indicator. This has not been tried. I am only studying this possibility. This is why I came to this site to find out anything concerning autopilots.Regards,Ruy

Sportpilot

I evalued the Sportpilot and realised that it fits properly. The Simrad needsquite a few changes and it is not worth. Moreover, it is less expensive.Thanks for the idea.Ruy
