Added a Navico 300 two years ago to my '94 H26 and have found it to be a very worthwhile addition. Makes life much easier and enjoyable - sorry I waited so long. The Navico brand was bought out by Simrad and the stronger unit like mine is now called Tillerpilot 30. Suggest getting the more powerful unit- it will work in more circumstances, and have some reserve capacity. The Autohelm version is the ST2000 with a recirulating ball drive. Simrad 30 also lets you hook up to GPS - if that is at all important to you. All of these units may be cheaper from discount catalog/internet companies like Defenderus.com. Installation is not difficult, and can be either on the seat area or on the cockpit floor in front of the swim ladder. I did the floor installation and it works well and is out of the way.
