I want to install an autohelm to my H31. I can take care of the installation, but someone warned me about callibration? Is this true?

Loki: Look at the Simard/Navico units too. Easy to install and works great. Have had ours installed since Dec 1999 and love it. Probably have about 50-100 hrs on the unit. Easy calibration too.

Just had my autohelm 6000 rebuilt under warranty. The toughest part was getting the boat to slow enough to do the compass deviation turns. It's real straight forward. Bryce S/V Spellbinder H410
