I have bought a hunter 40 with a Autohelm st4000 auto pilot. Is this to small for this boat ? The manuel says boats up to 16500 disp. We have just sailed it 350 miles and it worked fine. Should I expect problems ?
I also have a 40. My boat came with an Autohelm 4000. It worked ok under power and in light air. When it started to blow, or in gusty conditions, (when I really needed it to work), it didn't have the power or the speed. I replaced it with a Autohelm 5000, made a world of difference.
