Autohelm ST1000 on a Capri-18

Anyone install an Autohelm 1000 on their Capri-18? Thinking of the ST1000 vs the ST2000.

I think the ST1000 will be fine, and will help on those LONG ocean voyages..........

ST2000 is overkill.
ST100 rated to I think 27 footer or about 6,000lbs displacement.
Your boat is about 2,000 lbs including motor and gear.

Side note: Many prefer the Simrad. More rugged, better waterproofing. I think the thrust specs are better in model class too.
