I epoxied a block of varnished wood to the cockpit floor for the pin end and mounted the angle bracket below the tiller. It is not in the way when normal operation.

Beware auto-tack

This unit is good at going straight by compass or GPS but that is it. I have the ST1000+ on an H240 and it, and probably a lot of boats, will not tack fast enough to keep the push rod off the limits. The morons at Raymarine weren't clever enough to put limits on the travel and if it grinds for more than a few seconds you will be buying a new gear/belt kit - $70.00 parts only which is outrageous.
