Autohelm for H28

Has anyone installed a autohelm (autopilot) that attaches directly to the steering quadrant? I prefer not to have the autohelm model that has the ring that attaches around the wheel and has the motor attached to the pedestal. Pictures would be helpful. Thanks.

Is there a reason why you do not want ...

a wheel mount autopilot? I installed a ST4000+ on our H28 and it worked great. Maybe someone has installed a quadrant driven autopilot, but where on earth would you locate the drive motor? Everything, cables, quadrant, etc., are all right there in the steering well. Maybe you could install the drive motor in the aft cabin with the drive motor arm cut through the well. I would not do it to my boat. BTW, our H28 was named Qwest. Terry

I have the ST4000 too and it works good on my H28! the boat is too small for steering quadrant autohelm autopilot
